This November visit to Smith Rock State Park found a little snow left from last week's snow storm and very muddy trails as the frozen trails were thawing. Windy conditions made the clouds blow by quickly, and at sunset they turned golden.
On a November evening at Smith Rock State Park, I watched the clouds in the sky turn red in the twilight following the sunset. Lingering snow on the hillside shows up like sprinkled sugar, and this view shows one of the hiking trails leading to the river outlined with snow.
“Sunsets, like childhood, are viewed with wonder not just because they are beautiful but because they are fleeting.” ~ Richard Paul Evans Sunset at Todd Lake. So quiet. So peaceful.
